When dilation is done, the result would either be an enlargement or a reduction. A scale factor greater than 1 causes enlargement while a scale factor lesser than 1 causes reduction.

Looking at the given question, the volume of the single serving box is 1.2 ounces. If we need to dilate it to get the family size box of 18.75 ounces, then the scale factor would be more than 1

The scale factor would be

18.75/1.2 = 15.625

The scale factor is 15.625le facto
