we can find the decimal which is equivalent to 3/15 as following

(3)/(15)=(3)/(3\cdot5)=(1)/(5)=(1\cdot2)/(5\cdot2)=(2)/(10)=0.2

At first we have simplified 3/15 to 1/5

Then to convert to decimal, we need to make the denominator 10 or 100 or 1000 , ....

so, we need to multiply both of the numerator and denominator by 2

So, we have reached to 2/10 which is equivalent to 0.2
