We have the next formula for the area of a kite

A=(d1\cdot d2)/(2)

where

A=28m^2

d1=10+4=14

d2=2x

we substitute the values into the formula of the area

28=((14)\cdot(2x))/(2)

In order to find the value of x we need to isolate the x

\begin{gathered} 28=7x \\ 7x=28 \\ x=(28)/(7) \\ x=4 \end{gathered}

the value of x=4
