The Solution.

To get the base of the triangles in the diagram, we use The Pythagorean Theorem as below:


x^2+6^2=10
\begin{gathered} x^2=100-36 \\ x=\sqrt[]{64}=8\text{ units} \\ \end{gathered}

So, the area of triangle is


A=(1)/(2)bh=(1)/(2)*8*6=4*6=24units^2

Area of rectangle 1 is


A=l* b=12*10=120units^2

Area of rectangle 2 is


A=l* b=12*8=96units^2

Area of rectangle 3 is


A=l* b=12*6=72units^2
