Solution

\begin{gathered} 4x+2y=-6\text{ ...Equation 1} \\ -3x-2y=7\text{ ...Equation 2} \end{gathered}

Using Elimination method

Add these equations to eliminate y:

x=1
\begin{gathered} Thensolvex=1forx: \\ x=1 \end{gathered}

Now that we've found x let's plug it back in to solve for y.

Write down an original equation:

\begin{gathered} 4x+2y=−6 \\ \\ \left(4\right)\left(1\right)+2y=−6 \\ 2y+4=−6 \\ 2y=−10 \\ divide\text{ both sides by 2} \\ y=−5 \end{gathered}

The final answer

\text{ x=1 and y=-5}
