the associative property for sums is the next

(x+y)+z\text{ = x+(y+z)}

In this case, if you see the letter B. you can use the commutative property and then the associative property to cancel the number 2, that is

(2+3)+(-2)\text{ = (3+2)+(-2) = 3+(2+(-2))=3+0=3.}

This is the only option where you can do that.
