(2,6)

Here, we want to solve using elimination

We start bt multiplying the first equation by 6 and the second by 1

We have the two equations as;

\begin{gathered} 6x+18y\text{ = 120} \\ -6x-y=-18 \\ \text{Add both;} \\ 17y\text{ = 102} \\ y\text{ = }(102)/(17) \\ y\text{ = 6} \end{gathered}

Substitute the gotten y-value into the first equation;

\begin{gathered} x\text{ + 3(6) = 20} \\ x\text{ + 18 = 20} \\ x\text{ = 20-18} \\ x\text{ = 2} \end{gathered}
