Last Thursday night, the nurse noted that there were 43 children in the ward. If 21% of them were girls, how many were boys?

We have to find the number of boys in the ward.

If 21% were girls, then 100-21 = 79% will have to be boys.

Then, if there are 43 children, we can calculate the number of boys as:

b=43*0.79\approx34

Answer: 34 boys
