To write the equation;

y=x^2+4x+7

in standard form, we will follow the steps below:

From the above

a=1

b=4

c=7

So find (b/2a)²

=[4/2(1)]²

=(4/2)²

=2²

=4

We will now have;

y = (x²+4x+4) + 7-4

y=(x+2)² +3

comparing with;

y=a(x-h)² + k

a=1

h=-2

k=3
