Write a simplified expression for the area of a rectangle with a length of (-3x - 4) and a width of (-9). Remember, Area = length x width

Area = length x width​

Lenght: -3x-4

Width : -9

Replace the values of length and width in the area formula:

Area: (-3x-4) (-9)

Apply distributive property:

A = -3x(-9)+ (-4)(-9)

A = 27x+36
