There are two design proposals for a new rectangular park in town.

In design one, 3/4 of the area of the park is going to be a rectangular grass area and

1/2 of the grass area will be a rectangular soccer field.

3/ 4 ---------- Rectangular grass area

1/ 2 -----------Grass Area

Soccer field = 3/ 4 x 1/ 2 = 3/ 8

In design two, only 1/2 of the park is going to be a rectangular grass area and 3/4 of the grass area will be a rectangular soccer field.

1/ 2-------------------- Rectangular grass area

3 / 4 ------------------Grass Area

Soccer field = 1/ 2 x 3 / 4 = 3 / 8

Which design (one or two) will have a bigger soccer field?

The areas to the first and the second soccer fields are the same.
