Answer:

It will take 11 hours for her to reach the top of the tree.

Explanation:

She climbs for 1 hour and rests for 1 hour. For 1 hour she climbs 2 m every hour but she slides down 1 m every hour that she rests

So

Initially: At the ground

In 1 hour: At 2 m

In 2 hours: At 2 - 1 = 1 m

In 3 hours: At 2 + 1 = 3 m

In 4 hours: At 3 - 1 = 2m

In 5 hours: At 2 + 2 = 4m

In 6 hours: At 4 - 1 = 3m

In 7 hours: At 3 + 2 = 5m

In 8 hours: At 5 - 1 = 4m

In 9 hours: At 4 + 2 = 6m

In 10 hours: At 6 - 1 = 5m

In 11 hours: At 5 + 2 = 7m = top of tree

It will take 11 hours for her to reach the top of the tree.
