Ok so if Jack wants to jump rope backwards. He would not start with the rope behind his feet because if he started like that he would jump rope forwards. He would want to put the rope in front of his feet so he could swing the rope behind him and jump rope backwards. But since that’s not an option I would say jump sooner or cross his hands to his chest. Also here is an image of a person jump roping backwards so you can see what I mean.
