You roll a 6-sided die two times. What is the probability of rolling a number greater than 1 and then rolling a prime number? Simplify your answer and write it as a fraction or whole number.

Since we have 6 numbers in the die, the probability of landing each number is 1/6.

For the first roll, we want any number greater than 1, so we have 5 options, therefore the probability is 5/6.

For the second roll, we have 3 options (2, 3 and 5), so the probability is 3/6.

Then, the final probability will be the product of each case probability:


P=(5)/(6)\cdot(3)/(6)=(5)/(12)
