y=-1/2x +1

1) Let's start by finding the slope between these points:

2) Since we know the slope then we can proceed to find the linear coefficient/y-intercept by plugging one point and that slope into the slope-intercept formula:

point (0,1)

y=mx +b Plug point (0,-1)

1=0(-1/2) +b Multiply by 0

1 = b

b = 1

3) Having the slope and the linear coefficient we can write the linear equation out:

y=-1/2x +1
