6The given expression is 6 3/4 ÷ 1 7/8 is :

6(3)/(4)/1(7)/(8)=\text{ }\frac{}{\square}

Express the mixed frcation in the normal forM :

\begin{gathered} 6(3)/(4)=(6*4+3)/(4) \\ 6(3)/(4)=(27)/(4) \end{gathered}

Similarly with the 1 7/8

\begin{gathered} 1(7)/(8)=(1*8+7)/(8) \\ 1(7)/(8)=(15)/(8) \end{gathered}

Substitute the value and simplify :

\begin{gathered} 6(3)/(4)/1(7)/(8)=(27)/(4)/(15)/(8) \\ 6(3)/(4)/1(7)/(8)=(27)/(4)*(8)/(15) \\ 6(3)/(4)/1(7)/(8)=(9)/(1)*(2)/(5) \\ 6(3)/(4)/1(7)/(8)=(18)/(5) \end{gathered}

18/5 in the mixed fraction :

18/5 = 3 3/5

Answer : 6 3/4 ÷ 1 7/8 = 18/5 or 3 3/5
