Given that Tom's initial salary is;

y_0=\text{ \$}75000

In four years the salary increases to;

y_4=\text{ \$}81000

The rate at which his salary increase per year is;

\begin{gathered} m=(y_4-y_0)/(4)=(81000-75000)/(4)=(6000)/(4) \\ m=1500 \end{gathered}

The rate at which his salary increase per year is;

\text{ \$}1500\text{ per year}

Using the given initial salary and the slope(rate) abo
