We know that John added 34.05 kilograms to a bar. We want to know that value in pounds. For doing so, we will have to do a conversion of units, more specifically, we want to convert the value 34.05 kg to pounds.

By definition, 1 kilogram is equivalent to 2.205 pounds (approximately), so we will to a multiplication:

34.05\operatorname{kg}(\frac{2.205lb}{1\operatorname{kg}})=34.05\cdot2.205lb=75.0674lb

And this means that John added 75.0674 pounds to the bar.
