There were 485 gumballs in a machine at a candy store. A worker added 2 bags of 100 gumballs and thenadded 50 more gumballs. How many groups of 100 gurnballs are in the machine now?

Given:

There were 485 gumballs in a machine at a candy store.

A worker added 2 bags of 100 gumballs and then added 50 more gumballs.

The total number of gumballs will be as follows:


485+2*100+50=735

To find how many groups of 100 gumballs in the machine, we will divide the total gumballs by 100


(735)/(100)=7.35

So, the number of groups of 100 gumballs = 7.35

Or in other words, there are 7 groups of 100 gumballs and 35 more gumballs.
