To determine the function using a remainder theorem:

f(x)=3x^3+7x^2-x-10

The above function can be solved by substituting the x-value in the function

Remainder function for x = - 1

\begin{gathered} f(x)=3x^3+7x^2-x-10 \\ f(-1)=3(-1)^3+7(-1)^2-(-1)-10 \\ =3(-1)+7(1)+1-10 \\ =-3+7+1-10 \\ =-5 \end{gathered}

Therefore the value of the function f(-1) = -5
