The slope of two points can be calculated using the following formula:

m=(\Delta y)/(\Delta x)=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)=(7-4)/(0-(-5))=(3)/(5)=0.6

The slope for the points (-5,4) and (0,7) is m=3/5.
