BC=EF,AC=DF and BC=24,AC=21,EF=16,DF=x.

let us slove for x,


\begin{gathered} (24)/(21)=(16)/(x) \\ 24x=16*21 \\ 24x=336 \\ x=(336)/(24) \\ x=14 \end{gathered}

The value of x =14.
