We can divide the figure in 3 .

Find the area of each figure and then add the areas:

Rectangle 1:

Length = 10

Width = 5

Area of a rectangel = LEnght x width = 10x5= 50 in2

Rectangle 2:

Lenght :7 in

width= 4 in

Area 2 = 7 x4 = 28 in2

Triangle:

Base = 3

Height = 4

Area of a triangle: 1/2 x base x height

Area 3 = 1/2 x 3x4 = 6 in2

Total area: area 1 + area 2 +area 3 = 50+28+6 = 84 in2

For the perimeter add all the sides:

We are only missing the hypotenuse of the triangle:

c2 = a2+b2

c = √ (3^2+4^2) = 5

Perimeter: 5+7+6+5+10+15 = 48 inches
