Area of a triangle:

Amount of space within the given triangle is the area of a triangle.

Formula to find the area of a triangle:

\text{Area of a triangle=}(1)/(2)* Base* Height\text{ square units}

For Example we take one triangle with dimension:

Base of the above triangle is BC and height of a triangle is AD.

\begin{gathered} BC=10cm\text{ } \\ AD=6cm \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} \text{Area of a triangle=}(1)/(2)* Base* Height \\ =(1)/(2)*10*6 \\ =30cm^2 \end{gathered}
