we can use PEMDAS to solve! First, start with what is in the parentheses.
(3.7-2.2) = (1.5), which we can now substitute into the equation.
3.5(1.5)/4(-1.75)
Now, we can do multiplication to get rid of the parentheses.
3.5 * 1.5 = 5.25
4 * -1.75 = -7
plug these values back into the equation
5.25/-7
now we can divide
answer: -0.75

\stackrel{\textit{\huge P~\hfill E~\hfill M~\hfill D~\hfill A~\hfill S}}{\cfrac{3.5(3.7-2.2)}{4(-1.75)}\implies \cfrac{3.5(1.5)}{4(-1.75)}\implies \cfrac{5.25}{4(-1.75)}\implies \cfrac{5.25}{-7}\implies -0.75}
