given the function

-2x^2+11x-15=0

given the quadratic formula

(-b\pm√(b^2-4ac))/(2a)

where

a= - 2

b= 11

c= - 15

to find the number of solution we focus on the root

√(b^2-4ac)
√(11^2-4(-2)(-15))
√(121-120)
√(1)=1

since the root is a rational number different than 0

the function has Two distinct rational solutions
