1) We need to recap the general formula for sinusoidal functions. So let's see how it works below:


y=a\sin(b(x-h))+k

2) Amplitude can be defined as:

So, we can start out plugging into that general formula A= 3


y=3\sin(b(x-h))+k

3) On the other hand, the Midline can be also defined as:

Based on that, we can write out this function's rule:


y=3\sin(x)+1

Note the midline is halfway the maximum and the minimum point
