Correct option is E)

Let us assume that Car A takes T time to overtake and drive 8 miles ahead of Car B

Now, Distance Travelled by Car B in Time T=50∗T and Distance Travelled by Car A in Time T=58∗T

A must cover 28 km more than B for Overtaking by 8 miles as Initially A is 20 miles behind B.

⇒58T−50T=28

⇒8T=28

⇒T=3.5

Therefore Answer is (E)
