The slope of QR is,

\begin{gathered} m_(QR)=(10-2)/(9-(-5)) \\ =(8)/(14) \\ =(4)/(7) \end{gathered}

The slope of ST is,

\begin{gathered} m_(ST)=(-8-(-1))/(-2-2) \\ =(-7)/(4) \end{gathered}

Thus,

\begin{gathered} m_(QR)* m_(ST)=(4)/(7)*(-7)/(4) \\ =-1 \end{gathered}

As the product of slope is -1 QR and ST are perpendicular.
