Given:

The initial amount of water in the bucket, P=3000 ml.

The rate at which water flows out through leak, R=18 ml/per minute

Let after x minutes, the water left in the bucket be y.

Now, the equation for the water left in the bucket after x minutes is,

\begin{gathered} y=P-Rx \\ y=3000-18x \end{gathered}

Therefore, the water left in the bucket after certain mniutes can be expressed as y=3000-18x.
