y-intercept is the y-axis cutting point.

Looking at the graph, clearly it is seen that y = 7 is the y-intercept.

To get the slope, we have to move from one point on the line to another point.

The slope is the number of units moved in y-direction DIVIDED by the number of units moved in x direction.

Let's take the point (-1,6) and (0,7).

We need to go 1 unit right in x direction and 1 unit up in y direction to go from (-1,6) to (0,7). Thus

Slope = 1/1 = 1

Final Answer:

Slope = 1

y-intercept = 7
