The perimeter of a square equals 4 times the length of side of the square. How long is the side if the perimeters is 64 feet ?

Let l be the length of the side. The perimeter is given by:


P=4l

If the perimeter is 64 ft then we have:


\begin{gathered} 4l=64 \\ l=(64)/(4) \\ l=16 \end{gathered}

Therefore the length of the perimeter is 16 ft
