\begin{gathered} \text{ } \\ \text{If a o b = b o a, then binary operation o is commutative.} \\ In\text{ this case x+1 and 1+x is commutative} \end{gathered}

Hence, commutative is used

Also; distributive is used when 3(x+1)= 3(x) + 3(1)

Also, identity is used when it is 3x+3.

The only property that is not used is Associative property.

Associative property occurs over an operation and we have two operations here which are multiplication and addition.
