When findin the equation of a line in the form

y=mx+b

in which m represents the slope of the line and b the y-intercept.

Since the slope is giving the data missing is the y intercept which can be found using the point given

y=-(3)/(2)x+b

replace the point to find b

\begin{gathered} 10=-(3)/(2)(-4)+b \\ 10=6+b \\ 10-6=b \\ 4=b \end{gathered}

The equation of the line is

y=-(3)/(2)x+4
