The jar of yellow and green marbles has a ratio of 4 to 3, so:

4\colon3=(4)/(3)

this tells us that for every 4 yellow marbles, there are 3 green marbles

so:

\begin{gathered} (320)/(x)=(4)/(3) \\ where \\ x=Number_{\text{ }}of_{\text{ }}green_{\text{ }}marbles \\ so\colon \\ x=(320\cdot3)/(4) \\ x=240 \end{gathered}

There are 240 green marbles in the jar
