1. X-INTERCEPT:

To find the x-intercept, we replace y for 0 and solve for x, as following:

\begin{gathered} y=x^2-8x+12 \\ \rightarrow0=x^2-8x+12 \\ \rightarrow(x-2)(x-6)=0 \\ \\ \rightarrow x_1=2 \\ \rightarrow x_2=6 \end{gathered}

Thereby, the x-intercepts are 2 and 6

2. Y-INTERCEPT:

To find the y-intercept, we replace x for 0 and solve for y, as following:

\begin{gathered} y=x^2-8x+12 \\ \rightarrow y=(0)^2-8(0)+12 \\ \rightarrow y=12 \end{gathered}

Thereby, the y-intercept is 12
