The slope can be calculated using two points as following :

Let we have the points :

\begin{gathered} (x_1,y_1) \\ (x_2,y_2) \end{gathered}

The slope be :

\text{slope}=(rise)/(run)=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

For example if the points are ( 5 , 6 ) and ( 3 , 4 )

The slope will be :

(4-6)/(3-5)=(-2)/(-2)=1
