Translation occurs when we add a certain value to the original coordinates to form an image coordinate.

From the point (4, -9), it translated to (9, -14).

From this, we can see that 5 is added to the original x-coordinate 4 to form 9. Also, we can see that we subtracted 5 to the original y-coordinate to form -14.

Therefore, translating (-9, -8) with the same translation would be (-9 + 5, -8 - 5) = (-4, -13).

Answer: The coordinates of the image of the point (-9, -8) is (-4, -13) under the same translation.
