You have to write the equation in "point-slope" form for a line that passes through point (11,16)

and is parallel to the line

y=9x+41

If two lines are parallel, then their slopes are equal.

The slope of the given line is m=9 and this will be the sloe of the line you have to determine.

The point slope form is

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

m → slope

(x₁, y₁) → are the coordinates of a point of the line.

For m=9 and (11,16) the point slope form is

y-16=9(x-11)

You can use the distributive property of multiplication to solve the term in parentheses:

y-16=9x-99
