What is the slope of the line which contains the ordered pairs (5,3) and (2,-3)?

The slope (m) = 2

1) Since we have two ordered pairs, then we can find out the slope using the slope formula:


m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)=(-3-3)/(2-5)=(-6)/(-3)=2

Note that the slope indicates how steep is the line, so we have an increasing slope for 2 >0, slopes greater than 0 are denotes incr

2) Hence, the answer is m=2
