64 possible outcomes

EXPLANATION :

The code has 3 letters only from A, B, C, and D

There are 4 options.

For the first letter, we have 4 options

For the second letter, we also have 4 options

and for the third letter, we have 4 options.

The total number of possible codes is the product of the number of options in each position of the letter.

That will be :

4 x 4 x 4 = 64
