given the two cylinders that we should find their ratio:

the dimesion of the big cylinder

Radius r = 3cm

Height h = 12cm

dimesion of the small cylinder:

Radius r = 1.5cm

Height h = 6cm

recall, the formular for the volume of cylinder:

Volume of Cylinder = pi x r^2 x h

also ratio is comparing two quantities

so loking for the ratio ofthe volume the two cylinders:

pi x 3^2 x 12 : pi x 1.5^2 x 6

pi cancelling out

3^2 x 12 : 1.5^2 x 6

9 x 12 : 2.25 x 6

108 : 13.5

8:1

therefore, the ration of the volume of the two cylinders is 8:1

so the correct option is the second option which is 8 to 1
