The table gives a set of outcomes and their probabilities. Let A be the event "the outcome is greater than or equal to 6". Let B be the event "the outcome is greater than or equal to 6". Find P(A and B). Outcome Probability 1 1 0.04 2 0.14 3 0.05 4 0.22 5 0.28 6 0.14 7 0.13

Since the events A and B are equal, the probability P(A and B) is the same P(A).

The outcomes that are greater than or equal 6 are 6 and 7, and the probability of each one is: P(6) = 0.14 and P(7) = 0.13

So we have that:

\begin{gathered} P(A\text{ and B)}=P(A)=P(6)+P(7) \\ P(A\text{ and B)}=0.14+0.13 \\ P(A\text{ and B)}=0.27 \end{gathered}
