On questiin #4 is D the midpoint of CE

hello

to solve this question, we have to use the formula of midpoint of a straight line


\begin{gathered} mp=(x_2+x_1)/(2) \\ \end{gathered}

but this question isn't requiring that and we have to use a different formula


\begin{gathered} CE=CD+DE \\ CE=30 \\ CD=14 \\ DE=x \\ \end{gathered}
\begin{gathered} ce=cd+de \\ 30=14+x \\ x=30-14 \\ x=16 \end{gathered}

from the calculations above, the value of DE is equals to 16
