Let x be number of months.

The cost of the first company is:

35x+120

The cost of the second company is:

55x

To find after how many months the services will be the same we equate the expressions and solve for x:

\begin{gathered} 55x=35x+120 \\ 55x-35x=120 \\ 20x=120 \\ x=(120)/(20) \\ x=6 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the phone services will cost the same after 6 months.
