Given the formulas below

\begin{gathered} C=(5)/(9)(F-32) \\ F=(9)/(5)C+32 \end{gathered}

We are to convert 62°F to Celcius using any of the formulas above.

I will going with the first formula

\begin{gathered} C=(5)/(9)(F-32) \\ \text{Where,} \\ F=62^0F \end{gathered}

Therefore,

\begin{gathered} C=(5)/(9)(62-32) \\ C=(5)/(9)(30) \end{gathered}

Simplify

\begin{gathered} C=(5)/(9)(30)=(150)/(9)=16.6666667\approx16.7^0(nearest\text{ tenth)} \\ \therefore C=16.7^0 \end{gathered}

Hence, the answer is

16^{}.7^0C
