In AEFG, the measure of ZG=90°, the measure of ZE=26°, and GE = 4.6 feet. Find the length of FG to the nearest tenth of a foot.

Using the tangent identity:


\begin{gathered} \tan (\theta)=\frac{opposite}{adjacent_{}} \\ so\colon \\ \tan (30)=(8.1)/(x) \\ x=(8.1)/(\tan (30)) \\ x=14.0ft \end{gathered}
