a) The probability that a student owns a credit card given that the student is a sophomore is given by:


P=(6)/(40)=0.15

Answer a: 0.15

b) The probability that a student is a freshman given that the student owns a credit card is:


P=(11)/(17)=0.65

Answer b: 0.65

c) The probability that a student is a sophomore and owns a credit card. is:


P=(6)/(100)=0.06

Answer c: 0.06
