The Area of a Kite.

The area of a Kite is given below:

\text{Area = 2\lbrack}(1)/(2)bh\rbrack

Where b = 21m (diagonal 1 )

h = height = 8.5m (half of the diagonal 2) , that is , 17/2 = 8.5 m

\begin{gathered} \text{Area of the Kite = 2(}(1)/(2)*21*8.5) \\ \text{ = 21}*8.5=178.5m^2 \end{gathered}

Hence, the correct answer is 178.5 square meters.
