The ball in shape of sphere. So radius of sphere is r = 9 in.

The formula for the volume of sphere is,


V=(4)/(3)\pi(r)^3

Substitute the value in the formula to obtain the volume of ball.


\begin{gathered} V=(4)/(3)\pi\cdot(9)^3 \\ =3053.628 \\ \approx3053.63 \end{gathered}

The formula for the surface area of ball is,


S=4\pi\cdot(r)^2

Substitute the value in the formula to obtain the surface area.


\begin{gathered} S=4\pi\cdot(9)^2 \\ =1017.876 \\ \approx1017.88 \end{gathered}

So answer.

Volume = 3053.63 inch cube

Surface area = 1017.88 inch square.
